Southeast Gulf of America

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure will prevail across the Gulf waters
through the week. A weak pressure gradient will support mostly
gentle to moderate winds across much of the basin. A diurnally
induced surface trough will generate fresh to occasionally
strong winds N of the Yucatan peninsula early each evening.
These winds will spread westward away from the Yucatan at night
as the trough migrates into the SW Gulf. Slight to moderate seas
are expected through the forecast period.  

.TODAY...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.TONIGHT...N to NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.TUE...N winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.TUE NIGHT...NW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.WED...NW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.WED NIGHT...NW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.THU...NW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.THU NIGHT...NW winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to SW after midnight.

.FRI...S to SW winds less than 5 kt, shifting to NW in the
afternoon. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.FRI NIGHT...NW to N winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to SE to S after
midnight. Seas 2 ft or less.  

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...Surface ridging along 27N and the passage of a pair
of tropical waves across the Caribbean Sea will modulate
moderate to fresh NE to E winds south of 23N through the
forecast period. Otherwise, a cold front extending from 31N54W
to 27N63W to 31N71W  will continue to move across the northern
forecast waters today then stall and weaken into a trough by
Tue. Fresh to strong SW to W  winds ahead of the front will
diminish by this evening. However, shower activity associated
with the front and its remnants is forecast through Thu.

.TODAY...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SW to W 5 to
10 kt N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.TONIGHT...SE winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and SW to W 10 to 15 kt
N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less, building to 3 ft after midnight.
Scattered showers and isolated tstms. 
.TUE...W winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft in the morning, subsiding to
2 ft or less. 
.TUE NIGHT...SW to W winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.
