Bavi is moving west at 14 mph. It is expected to make a slight turn toward the west-northwest with a slight decrease in forward speed through Thursday, potentially exiting the region west of 130E around late Thursday morning to early Thursday afternoon. Maximum sustained winds have increased to 155 mph. Bavi is forecast to maintain this intensity through tonight, then weaken through Friday as it makes a turn to the northwest, roughly toward Taiwan. Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to 105 miles. Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to 310 miles to the north and up to 265 miles to the south.
