DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 700 PM CHST...0900 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Dujuan was

located near Latitude 22.6 degrees North and Longitude 149.7 degrees

East. Dujuan is moving north at 33 mph. It is expected to turn toward

the west-northwest with a dramatic decrease in forward speed through

Friday. This general forecast track will take Dujuan north of the

Marianas and then east of Japan.



Maximum sustained winds remain at 60 mph. Dujuan is forecast to

intensify slowly through Saturday, and might briefly become a typhoon.



Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to

175 miles to the east and up to 35 miles to the west.
