DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 700 PM CHST...0900 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Dolphin

was located near Latitude 13.5 degrees North and Longitude

176.0 degrees East. Dolphin is moving west at 18 mph. It is

expected to maintain this general course with a decrease in

forward speed through Tuesday, making a turn to the northwest 

around Wednesday.



Maximum sustained winds have increased to 40 mph. Dolphin is

forecast to intensify through Tuesday, potentially becoming a 

typhoon Tuesday night.



Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to

110 miles to the north.
