Agrihan Islands in the CNMI.

including winds of 39 to 73 mph, are possible within 48 hours.

DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 11 PM CHST...1300 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression 26W

was located near Latitude 16.0 degrees North and Longitude

151.0 degrees East. 26W is moving west at 9 mph. It is expected

to maintain this general course and speed through Thursday. The 

latest forecast track continues to show an intensifying 26W will 

pass through the Marianas north of Anatahan on Friday.



Maximum sustained winds remain at 35 mph. 26W is forecast to

intensify through tonight, possibly becoming a tropical storm

either late tonight or early Thursday morning.

The next scheduled advisory will be issued by the National

Weather Service at 200 AM ChST early Thursday morning followed by

an intermediate advisory at 500 AM ChST.
