Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible A tornado or two possible SUMMARY...A broken cluster of severe thunderstorms will move southeast into the Watch area this evening. A few of the stronger thunderstorms will be supercells capable mainly of a wind damage threat, but isolated large hail and perhaps a tornado are possible with these storms through the early evening. As storm outflow coalesces later this evening and this activity pushes southeast, the severe risk will transition to primarily damaging gusts. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles either side of a line from 15 miles southwest of Anderson SC to 20 miles southeast of Rocky Mount NC.
