...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN SAN JUAN COUNTY THROUGH

630 PM MDT...



At 559 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near

Halchita, or 9 miles south of Mexican Hat, moving northeast at 20

mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Mexican Hat and Halchita.



This includes U.S. Highway 163 in Utah between mile markers 15 and

30.
